One of Sairam Dave’s most celebrated global productions, Khamma Gujarat, became a landmark cultural event for the Gujarati diaspora. Performed extensively across East Africa, the programme wasn’t just an evening of humour and storytelling—it was a cultural homecoming for second- and third-generation Gujaratis, rekindling pride and emotional connection to their roots.
But Khamma Gujarat went beyond art. It became a force for service. In 2015, the performances helped raise $4,000,000 in donations for the treatment and welfare of cerebral palsy patients. A decade later, in 2025, another Khamma Gujarat series in Kenya mobilised $300,000 for the same cause. These remarkable efforts led to Sairam Dave being appointed Brand Ambassador of the Cerebral Palsy Centre in Kenya, a role in which he continues to advocate for inclusion, care, and dignity for differently-abled individuals.
