ViranjaliDedicated to India’s freedom fighters

If Hasya Darbar brings joy, Viranjali brings pride. This multimedia stage production, created and performed by Sairam Dave, is dedicated to India’s freedom fighters. Through poetry, folk narration, music, and visuals, Viranjali takes the audience on an emotional journey through history.

Supported by the Government of Gujarat, the show travelled to twelve districts and was seen by over seven lakh people. For many students, it was the first time they felt the struggles and sacrifices of those who fought for freedom.

Over the years, his Viranjali Daayra has continued to keep these stories alive for the past 14 years, retelling them in a way that makes young and old alike proud of their heritage.

Viranjali 1.0

Where patriotism met performance for the very first time

Viranjali began its journey with Version 1.0, a grand stage experiment that blended poetry, music, theatre, and visuals to pay homage to India’s freedom fighters. With Sairam Dave’s words forming the soul of the concept and the support of more than a hundred performers, the production recreated the fire of the independence movement for today’s generation. Traveling across Gujarat and reaching lakhs of viewers both live and online, this first chapter of Viranjali proved that art can become a powerful medium to awaken pride and gratitude for the nation.

Viranjali 1.5

A deeper, more emotional journey into sacrifice

After the resounding success of the first edition, Viranjali 1.5 took the narrative one step further. This version wove together intense storytelling, dramatic character portrayals, folk melodies, and dance sequences to highlight not just history, but the emotions of the heroes who laid down their lives. From fearless revolutionaries to unsung women warriors, their courage was brought alive on stage with stirring performances, immersive music, and high-energy choreography. Viranjali 1.5 touched audiences at a more personal level—making them feel the weight of every sacrifice made for freedom.

Viranjali 2.0

Honouring the forgotten heroes of India’s freedom struggle

The most recent chapter, Viranjali 2.0, expanded its vision to include freedom fighters whose names often remain hidden in history books. Alongside legends like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, the show introduced audiences to many regional and lesser-known revolutionaries who fought with equal courage. With the scale growing bigger—hundreds of artists, larger-than-life stagecraft, original poetry, and live music—this edition became a true cultural celebration of patriotism. Witnessed by tens of thousands in person and many more digitally, Viranjali 2.0 not only entertained but also educated and inspired a renewed sense of national pride.
