Hasya Darbar
Once a cherished tradition in Gujarat, the Hasya Darbar was known for its wit, humour and gentle life lessons. Over time, however, it became a memory more than a lived experience. Sairam Dave revived this tradition by reimagining it as a one-man performance that remained rooted in its original spirit while speaking to contemporary audiences. His humour draws from everyday life, blending wordplay, satire and observation without compromising the family-friendly nature that has always been central to the format.
Today, Hasya Darbar has travelled far beyond its traditional setting. From packed auditoriums across India to Gujarati communities around the world, it continues to bring audiences together through laughter that is thoughtful, relatable and rooted in literature. More than fifty recorded albums have also helped preserve the tradition for future generations.
